The Graham girls soccer team beat Stebbins, 1-0.

About halfway through the first half, Graham scored on a corner kick to pull ahead. Taylor White needed no help from her teammates on this particular play as she scored directly from the corner, curling it just inside the far post.

The game was evenly contested with Graham getting 9 shots on goal and Stebbins forcing Falcon goalkeeper Ashton Curnutte to make 11 saves of her own. Graham’s rotating defense, consisting of Macey Blankenship, Madison Bryant, Payten Drewery, Lilly Henkle, Kara Howell, Alannah Miller, Kayla Tullis and Hannah Venrick, kept the Stebbins attack far enough away from the goal to help Curnutte earn her second shutout of the season.

The Falcons will try to remain undefeated on Monday when they host Urbana, which has scored 11 goals in just two games.
