Mechanicsburg wins; Graham falls to BL

SPRINGFIELD – Unbeaten Mechanicsburg cruised past Northeastern, 61-7, Friday night in OHC football.

The Indians jumped out to a 33-0 lead by the second quarter and led, 40-7, at the half.

Mechanicsburg (8-0, 5-0) plays at Greeneview next Friday night.

Ben Logan 60, Graham 0

ST. PARIS – Pass-happy Ben Logan flew past Graham, 60-0, Friday night in CBC/MRD football.

The Falcons were penalized on the opening kickoff, then lost a fumble on the first play of the game at their own 16.

The Raiders converted on fourth-and-two at the 8, then connected on a TD pass to go up 8-0 thanks to a successful 2-point conversion pass.

Graham lost a fumble again on its next possession, and Ben Logan scored a touchdown two plays later to make it 16-0 after a successful two-point conversion.

Moments later, the Raiders (5-3, 3-0) had their third TD pass of the night, which gave the visitors a 24-0 lead with 7:24 remaining in the first quarter.

A 59-yard pass reception by Tyler Powell gave the Falcons a first down at the BL 15, but Graham ended up turning the ball over on downs at the 14.

A 75-yard touchdown pass moments later gave Ben Logan a 32-0 lead with five minutes still remaining in the first quarter.

Graham drove into BL territory later on in the first quarter, but again turned it over on downs.

Another Ben Logan touchdown pass made it 39-0 with 1:30 left in the first quarter.

A 68-yard TD pass at the beginning of the second quarter gave the visitors a 46-0 lead.

The Raiders connected on a 27-yard touchdown pass with three minutes remaining in the first half to make it 53-0.

With a running clock in the second half, the Raiders hit on another TD pass – Trey Wilson’s eighth of the game – late in the third quarter to make the score 60-0.

Graham (2-6, 1-2) plays at Northwestern next Friday night.
