Frazier Night at Shady Bowl

DeGRAFF- Shady Bowl Speedway will have a “Frazier Family Tribute Night” late model race on Saturday.

Curt Frazier of Ridgeway and his family will be honored for their support of racing at Shady Bowl. Frazier started his driving career in 1980 in a mini stock. The 68-year-old driver has been married 31 years to his wife Kathie. The couple have five children and numerous grandkids.

In 1998 Curt took one of the wildest rides ever at Shady Bowl when he launched his late model over the turn one wall and ended up on his roof in a creek bed. North Lewisburg’s Craig Herron is the crew chief on this year’s ride, with Chelsey Scott, Jacob Muncy, Chuckie Chronister, Nick and Stacey Frazier serving as crew members. Amber, Bobbie Jo, Chuckie, Stacey Frazier and Shafers Body Shop from Kenton serve as sponsors. Frazier is currently 10th in the point standings.

It will also be “Richmond Gear” night at Shady Bowl. The company has provided gears on cars that run from Shady Bowl to Daytona. A pure stock driver and a street stock driver will each receive a $200 certificate good for Richmond Gear products. Richmond Gear is part of the Contigency Rewards program. There will also be other prizes and awards.

The late models, modifieds, street stocks, pure stocks, compacts, tuners and spectator drag races will all be racing. The first race will roll off at 7 p.m.
