WL-S prevails in boys soccer

The West Liberty-Salem boys soccer team raised its record to 8-4 overall and 4-2 in the OHC with a 3-0 win against Northeastern. Cole McDaniel had 2 goals while Bishop Williamson added the other. Neil Markin had one assist. Elias Kirker-Napiorkowski had 3 saves in goal.

The Tigers are home on Saturday for a 1 p.m. match with Bellefontaine.

Junior high volleyball

The WL-S 7th graders to Cedarville, 25-21, 25-17. Olivia Muirhead had 12 aces, Hannah Jones had 3 good serve receives and Selena Weaver added 2 kills for the Tigers.

The 8th grade Tigers beat Cedarville, 25-17, 15-25, 25-22. Alex Burton had 9 aces, 4 kills and 6 good serve receives, Kennah Erwin had 9 aces and 2 good serve receives, Peyton Orahood had 4 good serve receives and Sydnee Payer added 5 kills.

Junior high football

WL-S defeated Southeastern, 34-0.

Zayne Reed, Zach Glock, Matthew Loffing and Trenton Douthwaite all scored for the Tigers in the win.

Helping lead the defense in the shutout was Eli McGill with an interception, Kaden Burk with 2 sacks and Kyle Wolfe and Garret Schoenleben with a sack.
