Urbana lost to Benjamin Logan, 16-25, 25-19, 25-21, 25-19, in CBC/MRD volleyball

Hunter Rogan had 15 kills, Natalie Seeberg had 4 blocks and Macy Pierce had 14 assists for the Hillclimbers.

The Urbana jayvee team won, 15-25, 25-23, 25-13.

Alexis Thomas had 10 kills and Megan Ridder had 4 blocks for UHS.

The Urbana freshmen won 25-21, 20-25, 25-16. Jandice Scott had 6 kills for the Hillclimbers.

M’burg boys golf wins

Mechanicsburg defeated Northeastern, 169-176, in OHC boys golf.

For the Indians, Caleb Westfall shot 35 and earned medalist honors. Mack Cushman shot a 38, Corey Bogan had a 48, Cody Minor carded a 48, Austin Wolfe shot a 52 and Jack Shoemaker was disqualified.

WL-S girls win in soccer

WL-S beat Bethel, 2-0, in non-league girls soccer.

Annika Wolfe and Dierdre McGill scored goals and Ashley Rabenstein and Gabby Hollar added assists.

Paige Shafer had 6 saves in goal for WL-S (9-1).

The WL-S jayvee girls defeated Bethel, 4-0.

Scoring goals were Corinne King (2), Bell Clark and Sofie Farquharson and Peyton Kerns and Laura Neer added assists.

Laura Neer had 4 saves in goal and Rachel McGill added 6 for the Tigers (2-1-2).

Graham boys prevail

Graham beat Shawnee, 5-3, in CBC boys soccer.

Graham had 2 goals and 1 assist from Brady Oder, 2 goals and 1 assist from Hunter Kauffman and 1 goal from Austin Stickney.

Urbana girls beat Stebbins

Urbana beat Stebbins, 4-1, in CBC girls soccer.

In the first half, Urbana scored on a goal by Jennifer Tracy assisted by Marra Evans at 14:47 and a goal by Cassidy James assisted by Kinleigh White at 2:50.

Tracy scored on a PK at 33:07 of the second half and scored a goal assisted by Emma Burnside at 4:11.

“The girls have been playing really well and hadn’t been able to get the results they have wanted,” said UHS Coach Brandon Deskins. “Tonight they got rewarded for all the hard work and effort they have been putting in. It was a great team win that we hope to build on.”

Mechanicsburg ties Stivers

Mechanicsburg tied Stivers, 3-3, in non-league girls soccer.

For the Indians, senior captain Sydney Hux had 4 shots on goal, two resulting in goals scored. Senior captain Hayli Jacobs had one assist, senior Mayci Powell had one shot on goal, sophomore Tori Jacobs had 10 shots on goal, one resulting in a goal scored and one assist, freshman Kameron Loveless had 4 shots on goal and freshman Rilee Smith had one shot on goal. Senior keeper Chayna Sanford had 14 saves.

Junior high

WL-S’s 7th graders lost to Greeneview, 25-15, 25-20, in volleyball. Maddie Hutton had 4 aces and Kayleigh Wilcox added 3 good serve receives for the Tigers.

The WL-S 8th graders beat Greeneview, 25-15, 18-25, 25-23. Ryleigh Johns had 7 aces, Alex Burton added 6 kills and Sydnee Payer had 4 good serve receives for the Tigers.

Graham’s 8th grade football team tied Bellefontaine, 22-22.
