As a concerned fixed-income taxpayer, I would like to know how this permanent (Urbana City Schools) tax levy is going to be spent. Will this go to the general fund? How many other hidden monies are waiting to be discovered to pay for summer school which should be paid by the parents? What happened to the bus study that ensured the district did not need more buses? It seems that when it comes to money, maybe these (school) board members need to just tighten their belts like us who are on a fixed income.
