Mercy staffers cool under pressure

I wish to relate an adventure that befell me recently. I felt poorly on Sunday. Worse for the next two days. Finally Wednesday morning I decided that medical attention was at last necessary. My wife took me to the emergency room at Mercy Hospital right here in Urbana. As things turned out, that was an extremely wise thing for her to do.

At first examination it was discovered that I had an extremely high pulse rate and accompanying extremely low blood pressure. I can’t remember many of the things that was done to me, but Jennifer, Hope, and Angel immediately knew what to and did those things with dispatch and efficiency. I don’t know how long I was there, it seemed but a few minutes. With no hesitation I was flown to Springfield Regional Medical Center.

I wish to state that I have met few people who were so concentrated and dedicated to their chosen work as these three. Under the pressure and stress of the situation, not one harsh word was spoken, not one hard look was exchanged. These three were exceptionally professional.

And I wish to say thank you from the bottom of my heart. Saving lives is no small matter (obviously). These three did just that for me. You will always have my sincerest appreciation and thanks.
