Farm Management Breakfast Series begins in January

With crop prices expected to remain where they are through 2016, managing a farm business effectively is as important as it has ever been. Not only is it crucial for the current generation, but many farmers wish for their legacy to continue for several generations to come. Making sure the farm heirs inherit a sustainable farm business starts with the current operators.

Join OSU Extension at the Airport Café in Urbana for the Farm Management Breakfast Series this January and February. These meetings will begin at 7:30 a.m. with breakfast and the featured speaker will begin at 8 a.m. The topics and dates are as follows:

Jan. 14: Intro into Farm Transition and Estate Planning with Amanda Douridas, OSU Extension Educator, Champaign County

Jan. 28: Tax Issues and CAUV Update with Larry Gearhardt, OSU Extension Field Specialist in Taxation

Feb. 11: Does your farm measure up financially? with Barry Ward, OSU Leader, Production Business Management

Space is limited to 35 so please RSVP early to 937-484-1526 or [email protected]. The cost of the meal is generously sponsored by Civista Bank, Farm Credit Mid-America, Nationwide Insurance-Jamon Sellman Agency and Steve Mabry Realtor and Auctioneer.
