The Black & Orange Cat Foundation in Plain City will host a yard sale on Saturday, Aug. 15, to raise money in support of free cat spay and neuter clinics in Champaign County.

The sale will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Ohio Auto Loans (former Sonic building), 1754 E. U.S. Route 36 in Urbana.

Mechanicsburg resident Susan Sidner, a Black & Orange Cat Foundation volunteer, said most items at the sale will be available for a donation, while larger, more valuable items will be priced. Being a 501 (c) organization, Sidner added, those making a donation can request a donation slip for tax purposes.

Individuals wishing to donate gently used items to be sold at the sale can do so by calling 937-313-8315. No clothing will be accepted.

Direct sales consultants wanting to set up booths during the sale are asked to call ahead for pricing information.

“Since March, the Black & Orange Cat Foundation has trapped, altered and provided rabies shots to 114 cats from all over Champaign County,” Sidner said.
