CT COMM collecting mittens, hats, gloves, scarves

CT COMM, local high-speed internet and network solutions provider, is carrying on a tradition. For many years, the company has collected mittens, hats, gloves and scarves for Champaign County families in need during the winter months. All cold-weather apparel collected will be delivered by CT COMM to The Caring Kitchen.

CT COMM remains committed to the community, and in the times of this months-long COVID-19 pandemic, it is no different.

“Now more than ever, it is important for community businesses and residents to rally together. No local family or business has been spared during these times, and CT COMM would like to take this opportunity to provide for those who may be struggling,” said Tim Bolander, president and general manager of CT COMM.

Due to limited lobby hours and capacity, CT COMM will be collecting these cold-weather items a little differently than in years past. A collection basket will be stored right outside the front door to the lobby located at 126 Scioto St. in Urbana. All are welcome to place the items in the basket. They will be taken inside each day and prepared for donation to the Caring Kitchen by the end of December.

Donations will be accepted until Tuesday, December 22.
