‘Rural Farm Painting’ watercolor workshop set

The Champaign County Arts Council presents “Rural Farm Painting,” a watercolor workshop with professional artist Rhonda Sloan, on Saturday, Nov. 18, at the Arts Council, 119 Miami St., Urbana.

There will be a brief painting demonstration, with topics ranging from painting barn siding, summer greens, dirt paths and various painting techniques. Following the demonstrations, you will have the opportunity to paint and apply the concepts presented. Individual instruction will be provided throughout the day, including individual critiques to end the day.

The workshop will be held 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. with a limit of 15 registrants. Workshop fees are $50 for members of the Arts Council and $60 for non-members. Lunch and supplies are not included. Registration and payment are due by Nov. 9.

The Ohio Arts Council helped fund this program with state tax dollars to encourage economic growth, educational excellence and cultural enrichment for all Ohioans.
