The Perennial Theatre Company in collaboration with the Champaign County Historical Society will present Arthur Miller’s “The Crucible” on the museum’s front lawn under the spreading oak trees. The museum is located at 809 East Lawn Ave.

The local award winning performing arts group has been active since 2015 and strives to use theater as a tool to teach love, kindness and empathy.

Show times are Oct. 13 and 14 at 7 p.m; Oct. 15 at 2 p.m; and Oct. 20 and 21 at 7 p.m. Tickets are $12 for regular admittance. Prices for students, veterans, seniors, professors and CCHS members are $10. They can be ordered online at Facebook.com/perennialtheatre, reserved by calling 937-896-1511 or purchased at the museum during regular hours on Mondays and Tuesdays.

As the production is outside, attendees are reminded to dress accordingly.

The play focuses on the inconsistencies of the Salem witch trials and the extreme behavior that can result from dark desires and hidden agendas of a divided population.
