The Simon Kenton Chili Cook-off committee is excited to announce the entertainment for the upcoming festival to be held Sept. 23 in downtown Urbana. The Indoorfins of Lima, Ohio will join the festival following the Hoopla Parade, at approximately 1:30 p.m. The band, formed in August 1991, continues to stay on top of current music trends and performs throughout Ohio and Indiana. They are recognized for doing the unexpected – they can change their sound based on the audience. They are a rock band with extreme variations including singing in a cappella and five-part harmony. To personalize each performance, they do not work from a set list. Every show is different which allows them to cater to the audience and the audience’s preferences.

The “Fins” have recorded nationally recognized songs, performed as openers for larger bands, and have moved into production with the investment in a recording studio offering the latest in recording equipment.

They perform regularly at Froggy’s Restaurant and Bar at Indian Lake and have performed at numerous festivals and events throughout Ohio and Indiana.

The band members are: Doug Druckemiller, guitar, Dave Robinson, drummer, Rob Lyton, vocalist, guitar and keys, Carl Smith, vocalist and keys, and Sheila Smith, vocalist and bass player. All members are talented with the ability to play multiple instruments, vocalize and to switch out as necessary.

“Our schtick is just being us – no costumes or theatrics – a straight-forward rock band that can play different styles . The goal is to have fun and be as entertaining as possible – always with respect for the audience. We look forward to performing in Urbana and enjoying the chili festival,” said Druckemiller.
