Cruisers thank community

Just a note of thanks for the great support from the local community and surrounding areas for our July 4th car show at Skelley Lumber Co. on North Main Street. We had 640 registered entries. The weather was perfect and we had cars coming in the show field at 7 a.m. We had a 1947 Ford Coupe that traveled all the way from Panama City, Florida. He drives his car all over the country to shows that he finds on the internet. We must have had 3,000-3,500 spectators walk through the show field to look at the beautiful cars, trucks and motorcycles and enjoy food from eight different vendors. This has become one of the largest car shows put on in the state and one of the biggest events in the Champaign County area. I would also like to thank the Urbana Daily Citizen for the great article they put in the paper prior to our car show. Thank you for the great support.
