Champaign County Arts Council holds 4th annual Juried Art Exhibition

The Champaign County Arts Council announced the awards for its 4th annual Juried Art Exhibition.

The show included 53 pieces and 13 artists from Champaign and Clark counties.

The winners are:

Best of Show: Mike Major, “Trees on the Edge”

First Place: Rhonda Sloan, “Burano, Italy”

Second Place: Mike Major, “William Pittsenbarger”

Third Place: Jessie Barker, “Sun Quilt”

The show was judged by Meghan Hager, who received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Columbus College of Art and Design in 2008. Her studies focused on traditional mediums. Her own artwork features a lot of horses and other livestock. She is a member of the Logan County Art League.

The Ohio Arts Council helped fund this program with state tax dollars to encourage economic growth, educational excellence and cultural enrichment for all Ohioans.
