Raising funds for diabetes research

Each year, West Liberty-Salem hosts a fundraiser to raise money for diabetes research. Betty Dillon, a grandmother of a student with diabetes at WL-S, collects baked goods and desserts for a silent auction at the school. Staff members bid on desserts just in time for the holiday season. This year the fundraiser collected $1,301 to be donated to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Christy Muhoberac accepted the money on behalf of JDRF. Back row, from left, are Abby Dillon, Betty Dillon, Christy Muhoberac, Jillian Henry, Stephanie Spencer and Kannon Stillings. Front from left are Aubree Timmons, Abbey Timmons and Wylie Harbour.
