Shooting Sports 4-H Club works on lessons, skills

At Champaign County Shooting Sports 4-H Club’s April 23 meeting, the secretary did roll call by asking members to state their favorite animals, then they split into their groups for their lessons. Basic Rifle worked on the sitting position and talked about aperture sights. Advanced Rifle worked on their Advanced Rifle Handbook. Sport Rifle talked about the different positions and caught up on their handbooks. Archery talked about bow sights. The group practiced accuracy by shooting at a balloon, then updated their handbooks. In the last half hour, members got with their committee groups. At the door there was a Button Day sign-up sheet. Button Day is scheduled for June 3 at a yet to be announced site.
