PAWS Animal Shelter (cat)

Hi! My name is Aretha Franklin. I am part of the Rock Star Girls group. We were all stuffed into a big crate and dropped onto the road in front of PAWS. I can’t tell you how scary that was.

My siblings are Patsy Cline, Stevie Nicks and Janis Joplin…pretty cool, huh? Well, we are a pretty cool bunch. Janis got her forever home, but the rest of us are still hanging out here at PAWS.

Won’t you please come and see me and make a little room in your heart and your home for me?

Stop by Paws Animal Shelter located at 1535 W. U.S. Route 36, Urbana, OH 43078 or call Paws Animal Shelter at 937-653-6233. The Shelter hours are Tuesday-Friday 12-5 p.m., Saturday 12-4 p.m., Sunday and Monday-closed. You can email us at [email protected]. Visit us at www.facebook.com/paws.urbana. There are many wonderful cats, adorable kittens and fun-loving dogs at the shelter waiting for good homes. Paws Animal Shelter needs donations of Purina Kitten Chow, Purina Complete Cat Chow, Purina Dog Chow and Purina Puppy Chow. We also could use donations of bleach, laundry detergent and clumping cat litter. We are a nonprofit organization that operates only by donations.

PAWS Animal Shelter (d0g)

Nala is 3 years old. She’s been at Paws for the last two. She’s had quite a few people interested in her but all have had female dogs, that Nala did not like, cats, which she likes too much, (squeaky toys to her) or they lacked a fenced in yard, which we believe is a must for her. Nala has many male dog companions and plays very well with them. She loves playing fetch, tug, going for walks, cuddling, and really enjoys the outdoors, though I believe she’d love sharing a warm bed, or couch, with a two-legged friend who might be the right fit for her. Despite her circumstances Nala has a great disposition, and is always ready for play and loving, come see her, your home needs her. She is at PAWS SHELTER on Urbana, call 937-653-6233.

Barely Used Pets

Hi! My name is Blondie and I am a Golden Doodle girl and I am one year old. I weigh about 35 pounds. I am so excited to be here because the dog warden had to pick me up and get me safe! It’s not fun being out there on the streets and not knowing where my food will come from or if those cars are going to get too close. I am so happy to know that I am warm and safe and I even have lots of friends here…wow. Bunches of dogs that I can talk to and play on the playground with. I get along great with all of them…and guess what? I LOVE kids! I am all around just a happy girl, but I really need a family of my own to get a new start. Won’t you please come and see me? We can play outside and even take a walk. I’ll tell you all about my adventures out there, but you may not be able to understand what my barks are really saying. So I’ll tell you now. They are saying “Please take me home and give me a chance to be happy and loved. I promise to be the best girl you ever, ever had and I will listen to everything you want to tell me. I promise to keep your secrets and give you lots and lots of love.” There, now you know.

OK…so what are you waiting for? Let’s go home!”

Champaign County Animal Welfare League

Lyric is a tiny little lady who came to us as an unclaimed stray. This sweet girl is a Pomeranian and only weighs 4.8 pounds. She is at best guess 6-7 years old but has the energy of a puppy. Lyric has been spayed, heart worm tested, vaccinated, wormed and treated with flea and heartworm prevention. She has also been microchipped and has had a dental cleaning with all necessary extractions. Although Lyric was an unclaimed stray she doesn’t hold a grudge, she loves everyone and everything. Lyric seems to be housebroken and is crate trained, she walks great on a leash and enjoys being outside. If you would like to meet this sweet little angel please visit us at 3858 state Route 56, Mechanicsburg. As with all CCAWL pets, the adoption/donation is $130 and includes a 2017 Dog License.
