Several West Liberty-Salem Livestock Judging Team members competed at last week’s Ohio Beef Expo. One of the teams placed third overall in the competition. Oliver McGuire, Mason Havens, Kayleigh Metz and Emily Heater were on that team. Oliver was also the 7th place overall individual in the contest, while Mason was the 8th place individual. West Liberty-Salem Livestock & Equine judging teams competed at the March 25 state contest at the fairgrounds in Columbus, which determined the top ten teams in the state who will compete in the state finals and a chance to compete at the national level.

The Champaign County FFA Tractor Trouble shooting contest took place at Farmer’s Equipment in Urbana last month. The West Liberty-Salem team of Kaeley Lattimer and Tate Derr was first place out of 20 teams that competed. Thank you Farmer’s Equipment for hosting the contest and for the complimentary hats that were given to each of the contestants.
