Congressman Jim Jordan (R-Urbana) has announced the 2017 Congressional Art Contest and encouraged high school students in the Fourth Congressional District to submit their best artwork to their schools.

Up to two winners may be chosen from each high school, and students must be residents of the Fourth Congressional District to be eligible. The 14 counties in the Fourth Congressional District include Allen, Auglaize, Champaign, Crawford, Logan, Sandusky, Seneca, Shelby and Union counties, and parts of Erie, Huron, Lorain, Marion and Mercer counties.

School-level winners must be received by Congressman Jordan’s district offices (addresses located at Jordan.house.gov) by 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 12, 2017, in order to participate in the district-wide competition. The artwork will be displayed in the Marion County Administration Building for the week of April 17, ending with a reception with Jordan at 5 p.m. Friday, April 21. The district winner will be announced at the reception.

The district winner’s artwork will be displayed at the United States Capitol for one year, along with winners from across the country. For more information, visit http://jordan.house.gov/constituentservices/artcompetition.htm.
