The Darby Creek Swine 4-H Club met for our first 4-H meeting of the year on Feb. 26. In our meeting, our enrollment forms reviewed, signed, and turned into our advisors, Kerri Ritchie and Kris Hodge. We elected our officers for the 2017 year, and discussed, and agreed upon our club fees. We discussed the dates for button days and asked for volunteers to represent our club. Our location for button days will still be determined. Our advisors also asked who would be attending the pork banquet this year, and encouraged everyone to attend. And finally, we discussed skillathon, and the changes in the born and raised, and performance shows at the Champaign County Fair. In conclusion, we had a good first meeting and learned and a lot about our upcoming events for projects and fair. Our next meeting is March 26, where we will be educated on quality assurance.
