Champaign Health District says radon test kits still available

0

It is important that we keep the issue of radon as one of our county’s health concerns. An earlier Health District article mentioned that:

Radon is a colorless, naturally occurring radioactive gas that threatens the health of our citizens.

Radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer deaths in the United States and the number one cause of lung cancer deaths among non-smokers.

Protect yourself and your family from Radon by having your home tested. It is the only effective way to determine whether you and your family are exposed to high levels of Radon.

You can come to the Champaign Health District office, Suite Q100, county Community Center, 1512 S. U.S. Route 68, Urbana, or you can go to the website at drhomeair.com/oh, and pick up a coupon for a test kit. Test kits are available for free as long as grant dollars become available. Test kits are also available for purchase at discounted prices for Ohio residents only.
