Tecumseh Council, Boy Scouts of America collecting food for pantries

On March 18, the Scouts of Tecumseh Council, headquartered in Springfield, will collect food for food banks in and around Logan, Champaign, Clark, Greene and Clinton counties.

Items needed include canned meats/fish, fruit juice, soups, baby formula, Jello, pudding mix, pasta, sauces, canned fruit, canned vegetables, baby cereal, powdered milk, peanut butter and hot or cold cereal. Outdated and opened items are not wanted.

This food collection is part of Scouting For Food, an effort by packs and troops around the nation to fight hunger. Scouts have placed Scouting for Food bags on doorsteps. Just fill the bag and place it back on the porch prior to 9 a.m. Saturday, March 18.
