West Liberty Bicentennial Celebration Committee seeking contest entries

WEST LIBERTY – The West Liberty Bicentennial Celebration Committee is looking for contest entries for the following categories to be announced during the festivities July 6-9.

*Beard & Mustache Contests – Gentlemen, from Logan and Champaign Counties, grow those beards and mustaches and enter the contest. Men can enter either contest. Judging will be on July 7. Time to be determined.

*Youth Essay Contest – K-12 grades, Logan and Champaign County schools. Child must write a 300-word essay, typed double-spaced. Theme: What is your Favorite Thing about West Liberty. Name, address and phone number on the back of essay. Deadline is May 31. Call 937-465-6081 to drop off at 8908 N. U.S. Route 68, West Liberty.

*Youth Art Contest – K-12 grades, Logan and Champaign County schools. Child must draw an 8X10 drawing, any medium. Theme: Celebrating 200 years of West Liberty History. Name, address and phone number must be on back of the artwork. Deadline is May 31. Call 937-465-6081 to drop off at 8908 N. U.S. Route 68, West Liberty.
