Following the Champaign County Historical Society’s membership meeting and election at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 24, at the 809 East Lawn Ave. museum, former county prosecutor Darrell Heckman will present one his programs in the continuing saga of “Murder in Champaign County.” Sunday’s subject is “Death at Eagle Road” and will include details of this May 29, 1990, murder in the eastern part of the county and the subsequent prosecution of the defendant. The public is invited to attend. The meeting will be held in the Historical Society’s meeting room.
