A sure sign of spring ahead

On Sunday, Feb. 26, at 1 p.m., join Cedar Bog Nature Preserve Site Manager Tracy Bleim and Certified Volunteer Naturalist Jim Lemon as they lead the annual Skunk Cabbage Walk. Skunk cabbage is the first to make its appearance each year by emerging from the fen in mid-winter, as depicted in this photo from late January. Admission to the event is $5 for adults and $4 for Ohio Historical Society and Cedar Bog Association members. Admission for children 6 and over is $4. The Cedar Bog Nature Preserve is located at 980 Woodburn Road, four miles south of Urbana off U.S. Route 68.
