Graham Middle School and Urbana East Elementary students planned to participate in “Hour of Code” during Computer Science Education Week, Dec. 5-11.

Graham students were to participate Tuesday, Dec. 6. East Elementary students were to participate beginning Dec. 7.

This global movement to introduce computer science to students is designed to demystify code, show students the basics and nurture problem-solving skills, logic and creativity.

Graham also unveiled its new Makerspace to encourage creativity and expand the use of 3-D printing and coding in the schools.
