Ashton Arnett, Urbana, was named the Champaign County winner of the 2016 4-H Bright Futures Award. The announcement was made by Green Leaf® Inc., a Fontanet, Indiana, manufacturer of agricultural products; Rural Lifestyle Retailer Tractor Supply Company; and 4-H Youth Development.

Arnett is a member of the Mad River Junior Livestock 4-H program and has a special interest in the Market and Breeding Sheep, Clothing for High School and College, You’re the Chef Program and How Does Your Garden Grow Project. She was selected in recognition of achieving the highest points in the 2016 ExtremeHonor Member Award Program, in which Champaign County 4-H members receive points for excelling in the four clover areas of head, heart, hands and health. She received a $25 Visa gift card and plaque.
