Mercy Memorial Hospital will host a presentation on “Brain Injury: How to Keep Yourself Safe” at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 19. The free presentation by Frank Giampetro will be held in the hospital’s large conference room.

The event is geared both for the general public and the hospital staff. Discussion will highlight how people with traumatic brain injuries are managed during the initial stages of the event. It will look at the long-term effects of having a traumatic brain injury. Also discussed will be various methods that can be implemented to avoid obtaining that type of injury.
