Kiser Lake Halloween Campout is Oct. 7-9

ST. PARIS – The public is invited to Kiser Lake’s Halloween Campout on Oct. 7-9 at the Kiser Lake Campgrounds, Kiser Lake Road, on the east side of the lake. Public parking is in the front of the campgrounds. Activities start at 6 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 7, with a dead zone nature center and a bat program.

On Saturday at 9 a.m., make a bird feeder, spooky bag, luminary and mask. At 2 p.m. learn about buzzards, followed by hayrides and games. Meet at the beach at 6 p.m. to name a fruit and launch it into the lake. As dark settles at 8 p.m., go to the middle of the campgrounds playground for spooky stories and a guided walk on a mini haunted trail.

On Sunday at 10 a.m. learn about nature through art. Then take a Fall Tree Walk. Meet at the Red Oak Trail turnaround and take a walk while listening to scary wetland stories.
