WEST LIBERTY – West Liberty-Salem’s Seniors of the Month for October are Joey Adams and Kylie Gilroy. Below are their answers to a questionnaire.
JOEY ADAMS
Parents: Pat and Kim Adams
School Activities and Awards: Cross Country – Team Captain Track & Field – Team Captain National Honor Society – Vice President Link Crew, Key Club
If I were Principal for a day: I would host a giant basketball tournament.
Favorite school memory: When I accidentally pulled the fire alarm in 4th Grade.
People who have been an inspiration to me include: My Parents because of how they conduct themselves with humility and grace to others. Jesus because He is my Lord and Savior.
Lately, I have been reading: Resolutions in world missions and my Bible.
My advice to parents: Always do your best to understand your child’s perspective.
My biggest regret: Not trying harder academically my Freshman year.
Next year I will be: hopefully in college majoring in biblical studies.
KYLIE GILROY

If I were principal for a day: I would have Chipotle cater for lunch and give someone a detention because it sounds fun.
Favorite school memory: There are way too many memories to choose from. Laughing and hanging out with friends have made an unforgettable experience.
People who have been an inspiration to me include: Mrs. Peterson, 5th Grade Teacher at WLS
Because: In 7th grade basketball she pulled me aside one day to set my head straight. She has pushed me to work hard to reach my full potential. The reason I am the person I am today is because of her.
Lately, I have been reading: All the text messages and tweets from my friends.
My advice to parents: Let go of your children during their high school years so they can grow as a person. Let them make their own mistakes so they can learn from them.
My biggest regret: I don’t believe in regrets because every experience is a chance to grow.
Next year I will be: attending the University of Cincinnati to major in Architectural Engineering.
