On June 22, Mad River Jr. Livestock met. We went over how many animals are going to the fair and pen assignments. We discussed who could help out at the flea market coming up at the first weekend in July. Our advisors had all the skillathon practice stations set up for us to study.

On Sunday, June 26, the Creative Creatures 4H group met. Alex Crabill led the Pledge of Allegiance and Sam Rooney led the 4H pledge. Also, Sam Rooney led a demonstration on how pigs get ear tags. The group discussed the fair theme, “175 Years of Magic at the Fair” and how the group should plan the booth. The next meeting will be the annual all club picnic on Sunday July 17th at 5:00 at the hillside shelter at Melvin Miller Park.
