Urbana police perform drug raid at Gwynne St. house

Four people were charged after a drug raid in Urbana on Friday.

At 10:51 p.m., Urbana police officers raided 115 Gwynne St. on a drug-related search warrant. As a result of the raid, officers took four individuals into custody and seized suspected crack cocaine, cocaine paraphernalia, prescription medications, marijuana, marijuana paraphernalia and cash.

The residence where felony drug crimes were occurring is located within the vicinity of North Elementary school.

The residence is the home of Stormy D. Blakeman, aka: Stormy McCue and Stormy Current, age 35; and James H. Blakeman, age 36. Both were present during the raid. Also located committing drug crimes within the home at the time of the raid were Patrick H. Rogan, age 45, Urbana, and Aaron R. Bensman, age 41, Urbana.

After being brought to the Urbana Police Division for investigative processing, police released the men and expect to present this investigation and charges to an upcoming grand jury, seeking indictments. Stormy Blakeman was held in custody and taken to the Tri-County jail on a parole violation.

James Blakeman

· 3 counts of trafficking in cocaine within the vicinity of a school

· Prepared cocaine for distribution within the vicinity of a school

· Possession of cocaine

· Possession of dangerous drugs

· Illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia

· Illegal use or possession of marijuana drug paraphernalia (MM)

· Possession of marijuana

Stormy Blakeman

· Prepared cocaine for distribution within the vicinity of a school

· Permitting drug abuse

· Possession of cocaine

· Possession of dangerous drugs

· Illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia

· Illegal use or possession of marijuana drug paraphernalia

· Possession of marijuana

Aaron Bensman

· Permitting drug abuse

· Possession of cocaine

· Illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia

· Illegal use or possession of marijuana drug paraphernalia

Patrick Henry Rogan aka: Patrick Henry Abbott

· Possession of cocaine

· Illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia

· Possession of marijuana

The drug raid was the result of an ongoing covert drug investigation at that location by police. Urbana police will continue to act upon illegal drug issues within the city and put special effort into identifying individuals and locations where illegal drug crimes are occurring.
