Safety Town near Indian Lake is all about life on the water. On the last day of Safety Town in Russells Point, state Wildlife Officer Joshua Shields gave fishing poles to attendees and explained safety procedures around water. Fall kindergarten students learned how to get in and out of boats, how to help those who fall into the water and how to put on life jackets. Safety Town attendees learned how to take care of a fish hook and line while fishing on their final Safety Town Day. The fish they caught were returned to Indian Lake.
