Piatt Castles hosts Camp Preview Fair for children

WEST LIBERTY – Piatt Castles is hosting a Castle Camp Preview Fair for children at Mac-A-Cheek Castle noon to 4 p.m. on May 30. The fair includes free activities on the lawn relating to each of the five summer Castle Camps; and a 20 percent discount for anyone who registers for a Castle Camp. During the hours of the Fair, children will receive free admission and their families will receive a discounted rate to tour Mac-A-Cheek Castle. It is located on township road 47, just off state Route 245, one mile east of West Liberty. Regular admission rates apply at Mac-O-Chee Castle at the corner of state Routes 245 and 287 and county Road 1.

The five Castle Camps offered in 2016 are all suitable for children entering grades 4-6. Camps are held 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Topics and dates include:

Castle Faire & Dragon Lair on June 20-22

American Boys & Girls Club on June 27-29

Shawnee Life in the 18th Century on July 11-13

Pirates Rule! July on 18-20

Art & Science of Nature on July 25-27
