Eeyore is a buff-colored, pure-bred Cocker Spaniel. He is 4 years old and quite a beauty. Eeyore is a former puppy mill dog, but in spite of his former life, he is a happy, relaxed boy who loves everybody. He gets along very well with other dogs and his laid-back, carefree attitude indicates that he is fine with cats. Eeeyore is treat-motivated and learns very quickly. He would be a wonderful pet for the person willing to help him refine his house-training skills. As with all Champaign County Animal Welfare League (CCAWL) pets, Eeyore is completely vetted before adoption. Included in the $130 adoption donation is spaying/neutering, vaccinations including rabies, worming, heart-worm testing and treated with flea and heart-worm prevention. CCAWL adopted dogs will come micro-chipped and have their 2016 dog license and dental cleaning. If you are interested in visiting Eeyore or any other of the adoptable pets at CCAWL, please call us at 937-834-5236. We are located at 3858 SR 56, Mechanicsburg, OH, 43044. Our hours are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 10:00 am until 4:00 pm. We are closed Tuesday and Sunday. If later hours are needed, appointments are available. Dog and Cat adoption applications can be found online at www.champaigncountyanimalwelfareleague.com. You may fax an adoption application to 937-834-5171. A complete listing of our available pets may be found at petfinder.com and adoptapet.com. CCAWL has memberships available that will allow a member access to the many wooded trails, agility course and ponds on the 72 acres. CCAWL will also have a dog park, cemetery to spread ashes of deceased pets, several picnic areas and a track for those who do not or cannot walk the trails. Members also receive a 10 percent discount on all sterilizations as well as training classes offered. Volunteers are still needed for the continuing Trap, Neuter, Return (TNR) effort in St. Paris. Call if you would like to donate or volunteer. Sunday, May 15th, CCAWL will be participating in the Spring Health Fling event at the Clark County Fairgrounds in Springfield sponsored by the Pups Uniting People Society “P.U.P.S.” Admission to the event is $10.00 for adults and children are free.
