Graham Board of Education: meeting rescheduled to May 16.

Urbana Board of Education: 5:30 p.m., administrative offices, 711 Wood St., Urbana. Special meeting for executive session to discuss possible property purchase. May reconvene to take action on the issue.

TUESDAY, MAY 10

Senior Citizens Day Celebration: 10:30 a.m. provider displays open; 11:30 a.m. lunch area open. Held at county fairgrounds. Tickets are $5 and must be purchased at county Senior Center, 701 S. Walnut, prior to day of event.

Master Gardeners of Champaign County: 6 p.m., Champaign County Community Center. Public is welcome.

WEDNESDAY, MAY 11

Community Blood Center blood drive: 1:30-5:30 p.m., Green Hills Community Community Center, 6557 S. U.S. Route 68, West Liberty.

Champaign County P.E.R.I.: 1 p.m. at the Farmer’s Daughter. All P.E.R.I. retirees are welcome.

Coffee and Conversation: 9 a.m., Graham High School gymnasium, have coffee and talk with the Graham superintendent and treasurer about the school district, tour the high school, and hear the Graham High School Choir perform. Though created for the senior citizens of the community, all are welcome to attend. Please park in front of the high school.

THURSDAY, MAY 12

Champaign Aviation Museum lecture: 10:30 a.m. at the museum, 1652 N. Main St. Free admission/lecture on Allied bombing raids on huge German oil refineries in Ploesti, Romania, during WWII, including B-24’s Operation Tidal Wave.

SATURDAY, MAY 14

Christiansburg Volunteer Fire Company’s Spring Fish Fry: 4:30-6:30 p.m., Christiansburg Fire House, 10 W. First St. Cost is $9 for adults and $5 for children under 10. Menu includes all you can eat fish, plus baked beans, coleslaw, applesauce, rolls. Extra cost for homemade pies and cakes.

How to Identify Wildflowers: 10 a.m. class, Cedar Bog Nature Preserve. $10 per person; $5 for Ohio History Connection members, Cedar Bog Association, members and children aged 6-12 years old. No charge for younger children.

Cedar Bog Nature Preserve Work Day: 8-10 a.m.. All invited to bring work gloves and rubber boots to assist in removing garlic mustard, poison hemlock, cattails, multiflora rose, honeysuckle and other invasives from the Bog.

Urbana DAR chapter: 120th anniversary “Cruise on the Titanic” luncheon at 11:30 a.m. at the Urbana First Presbyterian Church

Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted local office hours: regional liaison from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. will be at the Champaign County Library to provide info about voter registration forms and election information and to answer questions

Ohio Hi-Point Career Center graduation: 6:30 p.m., outside at the career center in Bellefontaine. If there is bad weather, the graduation will move to the Bellefontaine High School gymnasium.
