Roads closed

Creek Road in Jackson Township closed to through traffic between state Route 55 and Old Troy Pike on Tuesday and will remain closed about five days for the installation of a 42-inch reinforced concrete culvert. Funding for this project is through the county engineer’s share of motor vehicle and license fees and gasoline tax.

The Ohio Department of Transportation reports the following road projects in Champaign County:

State Route 296 between Upper Valley Pike and U.S. Route 68 is closed through Sept. 9. The official detour is state Route 29 to U.S. Route 68.

State Route 29 between North Elm Tree Road and North Street is closed through Aug. 21. The official detour is state Route 589 to U.S. Route 36 to state Route 235 to state Route 29.

State Route 296 between state Route 29 and Black Road has lane closures through Sept. 30. One lane will remain open for travel in each direction through the use of temporary traffic signals.
