Sycamore House benefits from chili supper

0

On March 3, Heartland of Urbana hosted the annual chili supper. This year, the recipient of supper and auction proceeds was Sycamore House Pregnancy Center. The chili supper and the pie and cake auction resulted in a check for $1,029.50. Heartland expressed gratitude to local businesses for donating door prizes, to the volunteer judges who helped choose the winning chili recipes, to Auctioneer Ron Williams and his family for volunteering their time and talent, and to others who made the event a success.

The Sycamore House plans to use this money to purchase approximately $800 worth of diapers, formula and hygiene products. The center also has been upgrading its “Earn While You Learn” classes with new DVD curriculum.

The Sycamore house is located at 1150 Scioto St, Suite 200, behind CRSI.
