Elizabeth (Liz) Ellen Kirby When special people come into our lives, we see how wonderful and beautiful our world becomes. Liz was one of those people who brightened our lives each day.
Born November 15, 1932 in Urbana, Ohio to Ruth and Clarence Copeland; died Tuesday, September 30, 2008, at age 75, in the presence of her loving family.
She was always there with encouragement and advice. Liz was fun to be with and easy to talk to, always having a willingness to listen. She filled our lives with joy and brought us happiness with each passing moment.
Liz was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband George; and her son Stephen (her special cloud)!
She is survived by her beloved son Gary; daughter-in-law and friend Sandie; her adored granddaughter Grace Ann; youngest son Philip; granddaughter Tiffany; and great-grandson Tymarion, all of whom she loved dearly. Although she leaves an emptiness in our home, she forever remains in our hearts.
Funeral services will be held at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 205 E. Washington, DeWitt, MI on Friday, October 3, 2008, Noon, with family receiving friends one hour prior to service.
A second service will be held at Vernon Funeral Home, 235 Miami Street, Urbana, Ohio on Tuesday, October 7, 2008 at 1:00 p.m., with family receiving friends, one hour prior to service.
