Gary R. Bacher, 65, of Urbana, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at Mercy Memorial Hospital after a long battle with emphysema.

He was born on June 19, 1945 in Urbana to Raymond C. and Jeanne (Holding) Bacher. He graduated from Youngstown State University in 1971 and was a member of the Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity.

Richard Childs Rademacher, 86 of Urbana, passed away, Friday, July 23, 2010 in his home.

Mr. Rademacher was born in Wheaton, Illinois on March 20, 1924. He served in the Army overseas in Europe. He was awarded the Combat Infantry Badge, the Bronze Star, four combat stars while serving in Co. D, 324th Inf. Reg., 44th Inf. Division of the 7th Army in France, Germany and Austria.

Robin E. Smith (Stokes) of Urbana passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2010 after a long courageous battle with breast cancer.

She was born January 2, 1959, the first baby of the New Year in Champaign County, to Marion and Winnie (Davis) Stokes.

Robin was a 1977 graduate of Urbana High School and a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.

Gary Lee Trostel, 55, who resided in St. Paris, Ohio and Tazewell, Tennessee, died unexpectedly after sunset on Saturday, July 24, 2010.

Gary was born on July 11, 1955 in Troy, Ohio to the late Robert Trostel Jr. and Laura F. (Rogers) Lewis. He grew up in Casstown, Ohio and graduated from Miami East High School in 1973. Gary also attended Hobart Welding Academy.

She was born August 16, 1927 in Fayette County, Ohio a daughter of William and Celanda (Crawford) Holcomb. Martha was a member of the London Chapter # 386, Order of the Eastern Star, and volunteered at the Madison County Hospital and Meals on Wheels.

Mary G. Nelson, 92, of Urbana and formerly of West Liberty, passed away Saturday, July 24, 2010 in Mercy Memorial Hospital, Urbana. She was born January 12, 1918, the daughter of the late Pearl F. and Crystal F. (Curtis) Groves.

On October 3, 1945 she married Charles Edwin Nelson in Urbana and he preceded her in death on August 23, 1999. She is also preceded in death by a brother, Paul Groves.

Lou Ellen Miller, age 78, of Saint Paris passed away at 5:15 p.m. on Friday, July 23, 2010 in the Upper Valley Medical Center.

Lou was born on September 7, 1931 in Spring Creek W.Va., a daughter of the late Herbert and Isabelle (Sydensticker) Foster. She married Paul Miller, and they enjoyed 59 years together until his death on May 21, 2010.
