Keith and Susan Rutan of Mechanicsburg celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on Sept. 16. They were married on that date in 1978 by the Rev. David G. Heistand at the Mechanicsburg United Methodist Church.
They are the parents of Jeffrey Rutan of Haslett, Michigan, and Amanda Rutan of Marysville.
Mr. Rutan is a retired Mechanicsburg Schools bus driver. He is a Goshen Township Trustee and operates the family farm.
Mrs. Rutan retired from the Madison Correctional Institution and now works at the Tri-County Regional Jail.
The couple celebrated with a family dinner and a trip to Watkins Glen, New York.
