Matt’s Take – Q and A with Ben Verlander

0

In the Queen City and throughout the baseball community, the excitement is continuing to grow for this young Reds ballclub. While last year was a huge improvement from the year prior, 2024 is a year where fans are expecting success. Anything short of making the playoffs is a fail for this organization in 2024 and multiple players on the roster have reiterated this statement. This is the most anticipated Reds season that I can recall in roughly 12 years or so, and I am certainly crossing my fingers for good health for this team.

Matt’s Take – Reds have some early standouts

0

At last, Cincinnati has finally played a couple Spring Training games and I can officially write about results on the field instead of projections. While we’ve had some cold days as of recent, the next three days are all 62 degrees or above, which means baseball weather is quickly approaching! Our beloved Redlegs are enjoying some good weather in Goodyear, Arizona now as well, as they are working on their game and many are competing for a roster spot on this very deep Reds roster.

Matt’s Take – Cincinnati Reds’ baseball is back

0

Beginning this weekend, we won’t go another Friday, Saturday, or Sunday without Reds baseball until October (and hopefully well into October). There is a lot of competition to look forward to over the next 38 days and I cannot wait to watch the players battle for a spot on this Reds roster come March 28. Hearing many from the coaching staff say there are no “foregone conclusions” with this team is exciting, as this team has enough depth to where the best players at the current time will take the field. We don’t have to worry about Jason Vosler, Nick Senzel, Curt Casali, Wil Myers, TJ Hopkins, or Matt Reynolds taking at-bats in 2024. If you’re looking to tune into some Spring Training games, there are certainly ways to tune into the action over the next couple weeks. Saturday and Monday will both be available via Bally Sports Ohio. The 27th will be aired on MLBtv and the 29th will available on MLB Network.
